Vermont Hill House Design: Elliott Meyers Design
This Hartland renovation and restoration project represents one of the most rewarding collaborations of my career with Elliott Meyers Design. What began as a comprehensive portfolio and social media shoot evolved into something much bigger when the designer submitted the work for publication—resulting in a spectacular 10-page feature spread in New England Home Magazine.
The project itself was extraordinary: a historic 6,000-square-foot renovation combining reclaimed post-and-beam structures with sustainable design principles. The moody aesthetic that this style of home demanded was both challenging and incredibly rewarding to capture—when you nail that atmospheric lighting in a historic space, the impact is undeniable.
The scope required three separate shoots to achieve complete coverage of the home, capturing every angle, styling detail, and the full story of this remarkable transformation. Working with Elliott Meyers Design on such a different style from their contemporary cottage project showcased their incredible versatility as designers, and seeing the work recognized with such prominent publication placement made all those moody lighting challenges completely worthwhile.
